I’m a reporter for The Gainesville Sun, covering education and things like goat agility courses. (Why not?) When not reporting, I’m writing anything and everything, learning how to paint and reworking classic show tunes to fit my daily life (“God, I hope I get  ’em. I hope I get ’em. How many groceries does one need?”).

I copy edited for The New York Times’ News Service after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism and mass communication and a minor in anthropology. I have interned at Raleigh’s The News & Observer and studied journalism at Sciences Po Paris.

I want to be versatile in an industry that hasn’t yet settled on what it wants. But ultimately, I hope to do what I love professionally — to ask questions, to write and to help tell stories.

Please, explore my website, and if you’re so inclined, follow me on Twitter. E-mail or comment as you’d like, and thank you for visiting.
